DETROIT—Detroit public relations veteran Randy Eaton and New York pro Jeanne-Marie Baron have joined forces to create Eaton Baron + Partners, a new strategic communications firm serving clients in the food, entertainment, technology and non-profit sectors.

The firm has also hired as a vice president Lisa Rosevear, a New York publicist famous for her successful word-of-mouth job-hunting network, WeWantWork.com, which received international media attention.

“Our team is delivering national communication strategies and killer diffusion campaigns for clients in Michigan and nationwide,” says Eaton. “We have the capability to diffuse messages into any target audience, messages that raise awareness, change opinions and sell products. And we do it in a way that helps clients forge lasting relationships with key influencers.”

Eaton has nearly 30 years in public relations, marketing and newspaper management, having most recently served as executive vice president of marketing and public relations at Rootlevel, a Web application development company in Detroit. Baron was a senior managing director at Hill & Knowlton and director of public affairs for the Markle Foundation in New York.  She has worked with consumer and technology clients that include Microsoft, Motorola, Intel, Kraft Foods and Nabisco.

Rosevear was formerly an account supervisor at Hill & Knowlton and specializes in diffusion marketing, media strategy and media and analyst relations
