NCHORAGE—The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation has hired Development Counsellors International, a New York City-based firm that specializes in economic development and travel and tourism public relations, to counter misperceptions about Alaska. The contract is worth $450,000 over three years.

Development Counsellors will target executives in severalindustries, including global logistics and airfreight, technology and light manufacturing.
