SAN ANTONIO—Clear Channel Communications has promoted Lisa Dollinger to chief communications officer, a new position. She will act as chief communications strategist and spokesperson for the global media and entertainment company and direct corporate communications and branding, reputation and issues management, strategic positioning, media relations, consumer viral marketing, strategic sponsorships and employee communications. She will also work with executive management on litigation, public policy and financial communications.
“Two years ago, our company was largely misunderstood and fabrications were accepted as fact,” said Mark Mays, president and chief executive officer. “Through Lisa’s unfailing instincts and creative leadership, our company is known today as an innovative leader and positive change agent in all of the businesses in which we operate.”
Dollinger joined Clear Channel in January 2003 as senior vice president of marketing and communications for the company’s radio division and was named senior vice president, corporate communications in April 2003. Prior to joining Clear Channel, she was a marketing and public relations strategist based in Austin, Tex.
