ATLANTA—Duffey Communications has added 12 new clients representing a projected increase of $1.7 million in annualized billings for the public relations, marketing and public affairs firm.

Among the additions: Genovations selected Duffey to launch and manage an international media relations, consumer and physician marketing program to promote the company’s human genome technology; Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems retained the company to develop and implement an international sales and marketing program; and the Georgia Hospital Association, The Georgia Chamber of Commerce and The Medical Association of Georgia, each of which tapped Duffey’s governmental and community relations expertise.

Other new clients include: Porex Corporation for Web-based marketing and communications; LOSSRUNS, for a new product launch; South Fulton Development Conference, for public affairs; Air Quality Sciences, for national media relations and business marketing; The Georgia Amusement & Music Operators Association; Thomas Kayden Horstemeyer & Risley; and Easter Seals for community and corporate relations.

“We certainly hope that the increase we have seen this past quarter is indicative of a trend of greater comfort among U.S. businesses to invest in building their markets, their sales and their people,” says Lee Duffey, president of Duffey Communications.  “The feedback we have heard aggregated into a greater awareness and need on the part of businesses to sell and differentiate themselves as a way that creates preference and demand in the marketplace.”
