PROVIDENCE, RI—Marketing communications firm Duffy & Shanley has been hired by Staples, the world’s largest office products company, to manage its 2009 public relations efforts for the upcoming holiday shopping season. The campaign will focus on traditional media relations, as well as digital and social media efforts.
In 2008, Duffy & Shanley executed a targeted marketing campaign for Staples’ holiday sweepstakes initiative, including PR and social media efforts. As a result of that successful, this year for the first-time Duffy & Shanley will be working on the entire holiday public relations campaign.
“With last year’s program, Duffy & Shanley demonstrated its ability to drive Staples brand awareness and generate excitement through new, traditional and social media campaigns,” says Paul Capelli, vice president of public relations for Staples. “Having the agency on board for our 2009 holiday effort allows us to build on that momentum and creatively connect with our customers about Staples seasonal offerings.”
