Dunton Joins APCO to Strengthen Consumer Offer

Mischa Dunton, former senior public relations manager at LeapFrog Enterprises, is joining APCO Worldwide as a vice president. Dunton has more than 14 years of experience in corporate and crisis communication, brand positioning and product public relations.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Mischa Dunton, former senior public relations manager at LeapFrog Enterprises, is joining APCO Worldwide as a vice president. Dunton has more than 14 years of experience in corporate and crisis communication, brand positioning and product public relations.

 

At LeapFrog, a leading developer of technology-based learning products, Dunton was responsible for all aspects of the company’s public-relations efforts. She planned and executed extensive programs to generate product awareness, including establishing the company’s first Web-connected line of toys, launching a mommy blogger program and leading successful crisis-communication initiatives in response to the toy industry’s lead-related recalls in 2007.

 

Prior to her work at LeapFrog, Dunton was director of marketing communications at Plaxo, an online address-book service, where she led a comprehensive, integrated communication program that elevated Plaxo’s visibility among a varied set of stakeholders. She also worked with The Multiverse Network to launch the company and its virtual-world and game-development platform.

 

Dunton will be based in San Francisco, Calif.
