NEW YORK— Lisa Sepulveda, a 19-year veteran of Edelman Public Relations, has been named chief executive officer of Euro RSCG Magnet, reporting to John Margaritis, who joined the company at the end of last year and has been given a new role as chairman of the Americas for Euro RSCG Worldwide PR, which also includes Abernathy McGregor and Euro RSCG Life NRP.
According to David Jones, global CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide, “We firmly believe that public relations is an integral and important part of the Euro RSCG Worldwide offering to clients and we are committed to building a world-class competitor in the industry. To that end, John has already made a tremendous impact on both the culture and top-line of Magnet in just the few short months he’s been here, and the corporation is already reaping a significant benefit from his expertise and counsel in the luxury goods arena on behalf of our clients’ brands.”
Sepulveda will be responsible for directing the agency’s U.S. public relations staff and operations and for driving client service, business growth and the agency’s bottom line in the U.S. market. Margaritis will focus more broadly on the Americas, driving the brand, concentrating on overall growth strategies, liaising across disciplines, practices and geographies throughout the global Euro RSCG network and coordinating integrated resources.
Sepulveda joins Euro RSCG after a 19-year career at Edelman, where she founded the agency’s consumer health practice in 1997, was promoted to executive vice president and general manager of consumer brands in 200, and since 2005 has also served as managing director of the firm’s global consumer health sector. She has managed campaigns for clients such as Advil and Claritin, Barilla, Hershey’s, Georgia Pacific, Pfizer, Schering-Plough, Weight Watcher’s and Wyeth.
