FD Blueprint has strengthened its public affairs and communication team with three new additions; plus new people at Chandler Chicco; new accounts at Johnson King, Penrose and Firefly.

BRUSSELS—FD Blueprint, the Brussels-based public affairs and strategic communications unit of corporate and financial communications giant FD, has strengthened its public affairs and communication team with three new additions. Nour Amrani joins FD Blueprint as a senior consultant in the public affairs practice, with a focus on EU energy and environment issues. She was most recently a senior consultant in the European public affairs practice at Weber Shandwick. Also joining are Christian Prior, formerly of Faktor 3, as communications consultant, and Stephanie Brown, formerly of FD America’s Chicago office, who joins as a senior consultant.

 

LONDON—Chandler Chicco Companies has appointed Sam Walmsley to a newly-created head of European social media role, based out of London. Walmsley joins CCC Europe from Profero London, where she led and delivered a wide range of digital projects for clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare arena. In her role at CCC Europe, she will work closely with our existing teams of communications professionals delivering innovative, multi-stakeholder communications programmes. She will join the European and global leadership team supporting CCC’s continued growth and success in the healthcare communications arena.

LONDON—nlyte Software, a specialist in data centre infrastructure management, has appointed Johnson King to handle its media and analyst relations. Working on a retained basis in the U.K., with projects in France, Johnson King has devised an aggressive issues development campaign to position nlyte as the expert in helping organisations “supergreen” their data centre environments. The appointment follows a successful project in the U.K., including a media roundtable event based on research into the need for data centre optimisation in light of trends like the cloud and virtualisation and new regulations such as the U.K.’s climate change and energy saving scheme.

 

LONDON—Penrose Financial, a financial services and capital markets public relations consultancy, has been appointed as global PR advisor for Exotix, a leading frontier markets investment banking boutique. Penrose has been tasked with promoting Exotix's capabilities as a specialist in frontier market investment. The firm will devise and implement a global communications strategy including corporate positioning, website design consultancy and marketing support in addition to traditional media communications. Andrew Nicolls, senior partner, will lead the team at Penrose, supported by Nick Bone, associate director, Nicola Smith, account manager and Annabel Huddleston, senior account executive.

 

LONDON—Firefly London has been awarded the Pan-European PR briefs to promote two companies: Leaseweb and Evoswitch. Firefly’s immediate brief is to build brand awareness in the U.K. and manage the Netherlands execution through Dutch PR agency partner MarcommIT, before embarking on a pan-EMEA campaign to build the brands’ profiles across Europe. The remit covers traditional and online PR, corporate profiling, forum engagement and industry analyst relations.
