New people at Ogilvy, Grayling, Banyan Tree; new business at Curzon, Publicasity, CCgroup, PR Network, Four; Clarity opens in Berlin.

ISTANBUL and MOSCOW—Grayling has appointed Ana Dodea as country manager in Turkey, and Eugenia Skobeleva as country manager for Russia. Dodea will report to META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) chief Loretta Ahmed, while Skobeleva will report to Jan Simunek, who helms Grayling’s CEE & Russia region.

LONDON—Curzon PR has signed on to support the UK registered charity Prisoners Abroad, which cares for the welfare of all British citizens held in foreign prisons, ahead of its 35th Year Anniversary in November 2013 and a charity auction it is organising in February of 2014 with work by award-winning contemporary artist and author, Edmund de Waal. Curzon PR has been tasked with strategy and media relations.

LONDON—Ideal Weight, a major player in the weight management sector has appointed Publicasity to handle its PR during the autumn “back to school” season. The firm’s PR campaign is designed to drive awareness of the brand and increased membership.

BERLIN—Clarity PR has opened a new Berlin office and has hired Linsey Fryatt, former editor-in-chief of VentureVillage and Stuff.tv, as Germany MD to head the expansion project. According to CEO Sami McCabe”We're seeing lots of great young companies from all over Europe setting up [in Berlin] and we think we can offer the support they need to grow their brands in the smartest way possible."

LONDON—Banyan Tree Holdings has appointed Bronwen Batey as regional director of marketing communications, Europe. Previously director of strategic accounts, Batey will now be responsible for the development of effective marketing opportunities for the hotels and brands via PR, marketing communications, strategic partnerships and social media.

LONDON—British micro hydro specialist Hallidays Hydropower has called in technology PR agency CCgroup. The firm’s clean tech specialist division is briefed to help Hallidays unlock the energy potential in UK waterways, increasing the uptake of hydropower by businesses, landowners, and community groups.

LONDON—US retargeting platform AdRoll has awarded The PR Network a monthly retainer to handle its media relations in Europe. The PR Network’s team of consultants, based in the UK and Ireland, will work to raise awareness and recruit more advertisers to the platform, reporting into PRN’s co-founder Georgina Blizzard.

LONDON—Imagine Cruising, a travel agency specializing in high-end luxury cruise, rail and stay holidays, has appointed Four bgb to raise the company’s profile.
