KENILWORTH, N.J.—Schering-Plough Corporation has named Mary-Frances Faraji vice president of global product communications and advocacy development. Previously, she served as senior director of public relations at Pfizer, where she led public relations efforts during the integration of Pharmacia Corporation’s business.

Faraji will have responsibility for global product communications and advocacy development in support of all of the company’s products on a worldwide basis. She will report to Jeff Winton, group vice president, global communications.

The appointment is in line with the company’s efforts to establish a new, integrated product marketing communications group that will lead non-advertising communications strategy and implementation support for all of the company’s products on a worldwide basis.

Prior to Pfizer, Faraji was a senior director of public relations and advocacy development at Pharmacia, where she was responsible for directing all global public relations and advocacy development efforts for the arthritis and inflammation portfolio worldwide.
