LOS ANGELES—Jeff Hunt, who stepped down as CEO of GCI Group following its merger last year with Cohn & Wolfe, is joining forces with Feldman & Partners, the national communications management consulting firm led by Bob Feldman—another former GCI chief executive and more recently principal of Feldman & Partners—to form PulsePoint Group.
Feldman & Partners, launched two years ago following Feldman’s departure from the senior communications post at DreamWorks Animation SKG, works with several Fortune 500 companies on strategy, performance measurement and organizational optimization and helps them maximize their investments in talent and outside agencies. Clients include Thomson Reuters, Dow Chemical, CA, MasterCard, Amgen and Dell.
Hunt will expand the firm’s service offerings, particularly into digital communications, and add a global perspective. Hunt previously held in-market leadership roles in Korea, Mexico, Latin America, the U.S. and Europe as a senior executive at Burson-Marsteller before becoming worldwide chief executive of WPP’s GCI Group.
“Over the last two years, Feldman & Partners has been quite successful helping companies maximize the investments they’ve made in their communications organizations,” says Feldman. “I believe there’s a logical opportunity to enhance our service offerings while staying true to our communications management consulting focus.”
The partnership represents a reunion for Feldman and Hunt, who first worked together at Burson-Marsteller in the 80s and again, more recently, at GCI Group.
The firm will be co-located in Los Angeles and Austin, where Hunt is based, and will operate globally.
