Finucane to Lead Brand and Communications at Bank of America

Bank of America has named Anne Finucane global marketing and corporate affairs executive, responsible for advertising, brand management and sponsorships in addition to her existing responsibilities for for corporate communications.

CHARLOTTE—Bank of America has named Anne Finucane global marketing and corporate affairs executive, responsible for advertising, brand management and sponsorships in addition to her existing responsibilities for for corporate communications, public policy, corporate philanthropy and the company’s market president network.

She replaces and Cathy Bessant, who has served as global marketing executive since 2002 and who is now taking over from Tim Arnoult, who is retiring as global treasury services executive

“Cathy has done a tremendous job over the past several years building our company’s brand and a world-class marketing function to support all our businesses and customers,” says Liam McGee, president of Global Consumer & Small Business Banking. “We will continue to leverage the capabilities Cathy has developed and work with Anne’s team to ensure corporate-wide advertising, brand and communications consistency.”

Finucane joined BoA’s predecessor company, FleetBoston Financial in 1995 and was chief marketing officer. Earlier she headed her own consulting firm and was an executive at Boston advertising agency Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopolis.
