SHANGHAI—Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has appointed Alex He as senior vice president and general manager of its Shanghai office, and Shijun Ma as vice president and deputy general manager.
He—who has more than 12 years of experience in consumer, retail, media and real estate business and strategy consulting—will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of managing Fleishman-Hillard Shanghai and lead further expansion of the office’s operations and range of client services. He reports to Li Hong, president and senior partner of Fleishman-Hillard’s Mainland China network.
Prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, He spent six years consulting for McKinsey & Company after obtaining a master’s degree in business from the The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. Before his post-graduate studies, He worked at Ogilvy and British American Tobacco.
Ma will take a leadership role in further strengthening Fleishman-Hillard Shanghai’s existing business-to-consumer client portfolio, as well as spearheading the growth of corporate communications and strategic integrated marketing offerings. A former broadcast journalist, Ma has experience with Edelman and Manning Selvage & Lee in Shanghai, where he counseled clients in a range of industries including automotive, electronics, pharmaceutical, financial services and manufacturing.
