Fleishman Gov't Relations Unit Adds Former Congressman Luther

Former Congressman Bill Luther has joined Fleishman-Hillard Government Relations as a senior vice president. Luther will work from the agency’s offices in Minneapolis and Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Former Congressman Bill Luther has joined Fleishman-Hillard Government Relations as a senior vice president. Luther will work from the agency’s offices in Minneapolis and Washington, D.C.

A former member of the Energy & Commerce Committee, Luther is an expert in issues including energy and renewables, international trade, telecommunications, healthcare, and the environment. He represented the 6th Congressional District of Minnesota from 1995-2003 and served in several leadership positions within the Democratic caucus, including serving as Regional Democratic Whip. He also served on the International Relations Committee and the Science Committee.

Prior to his service in Congress, Luther spent nearly two decades serving in both the House and the Senate of the Minnesota state legislature, rising to the position of assistant Senate Majority Leader.

Led by co-chairmen former Congressman Max Sandlin, former Bronx borough president and New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Fernando Ferrer, and Michael McKeon, former communications director to Governor George Pataki,  Fleishman-Hillard Government Relations has been expanding its geographic reach and now has offices in Washington, D.C., New York City, Albany, and Minneapolis.
