Food PR Veteran Launches Michael Duffield Communications

Michael Duffield, who was vice president and creative strategist at Tennessee-based Waterhouse Public Relations, has launched Michael Duffield Communications, a creative consumer communications agency.

CHATTANOOGA, TN—Michael Duffield, who was vice president and creative strategist at Tennessee-based Waterhouse Public Relations, has launched Michael Duffield Communications, a creative consumer
communications and public relations agency based in Chattanooga.

Prior to joining Waterhouse last year, Duffield was national public relations manager and food and lifestyle editor for natural and organic foods retailer Whole Foods Market. He has handled consumer campaigns including the launches of Mr. Yoshida’s Fine Sauces, EZ Squirt Green Ketchup and Boston
Market Gravy for Heinz, Disaronno for Bacardi, and Galliano and Cointreau for Remy Amerique.

Clients of the new agency include Chalmers Chocolate, which has retained Duffield for marketing, public relations and creative strategy; Bristol Farms, for creative copy and food writing; Stone Cup Roasting Company, for marketing and brand identity development; cre824 , for pro bono assistance with media relations for a design competition.

Duffield will also continue as a regular food and lifestyle contributor to The Pulse newsweekly and Commercial Network Magazine, a business publication.
