Former Brunswick Executive Launches New Agency

Rich Silverman, formerly partner in charge of the North American financial services business at Brunswick Group, has launched Silverman Communications Group, offering services including media relations and crisis to restructuring and transition management.

NEW YORK—Rich Silverman, formerly partner in charge of the North American financial services business at Brunswick Group, has launched Silverman Communications Group, a strategic communications advisory firm that provides senior-level counsel and services including media relations and crisis to restructuring and transition management.

 

Silverman previously spent 15 years working as a senior corporate communications executive in New York and London with Lazard, Honeywell International, and Merrill Lynch. He also spent a dozen years as a financial journalist for Dow Jones and Bloomberg News.

 

He will be joined by co-founder and managing partner Mitch Silverman, his brother, who was previously a managing director and the investment banker in charge of Nomura Securities' U.S. new products group; president of a Florida-based international import/export, logistics firm; CEO of a California real estate company; and owner of a multi-location health services business in New York.
