Former Canadian Diplomat Joins APCO Shanghai

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Murray King, a longtime Canadian diplomat with legal and commercial expertise, has been named chief representative of APCO’s Shanghai office.

“Murray brings significant depth and experience to our China team particularly in investment consulting and positioning in the Chinese market,” says Richard Burn, APCO Asia chief executive officer. “Our clients require innovative solutions and practical advice, and under Murray’s leadership we are confident that our Shanghai team will continue to deliver premium service.”

King, who previously served as commercial consul at the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai, has helped many leading Canadian corporations invest in China. His industry experience spans a number of sectors including transportation, information and communications technology, and manufacturing.

APCO China, part of APCO Worldwide, employs over 70 staff through offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
