WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ketchum has hired Laura Wilkinson, former press secretary for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, as a media strategist in the firm’s public affairs practice.

Wilkinson brings nearly 10 years of media outreach and Capitol Hill experience. For the last five years she played a role in promoting Feinstein’s legislative efforts to enhance energy market oversight, boost the fuel efficiency of America’s cars and trucks and improve California’s outdated water infrastructure, among other issues of local and national importance.

Prior to joining Feinstein’s press office, Wilkinson held several positions at the Center for Strategic & International Studies, a leading national security and foreign policy think-tank, including deputy director of congressional relations, managing outreach to legislators and congressional staff, before which she served as assistant director of external relations and as program coordinator for the CSIS regional program on Europe.

Wilkinson also served as a development associate at the Democratic Leadership Council.
