WASHINGTON, D.C.—Bill McIntyre, former spokesman for the National Rifle Association and a grassroots communication expert with Burson Marstellar’s Direct Impact, is joining Grassroots Enterprise as vice president of strategic communications and public affairs.

Founded in 1999 by former White House press secretary Mike McCurry, Grassroots Enterprise helps corporate and association clients identify, inform and mobilize their most powerful resources—their members, supporters, customers, business partners, employees and other stakeholders—to influence legislative and regulatory debates, shape public opinion and elevate their commitment levels.

“Bill McIntyre is a veteran communications professional with first-rate credentials in public affairs and journalism,” McCurry said. “As an award-winning columnist and reporter, he has covered politics, tax reform, education, public safety, health care, energy and civil rights. As a senior grassroots executive, McIntyre has led national programs for Fortune 100 corporations and national industry associations.”

Says McIntyre, “The technology driving the grassroots campaigns at Grassroots Enterprise, Inc. is evolutionary. It will take grassroots to the next level by leveraging the increasingly comfortable relationship people have with the Internet to successfully amplify the voice of effected individuals over their opponents.”
