LONDON—Four Communications, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is investing in two new offices in Edinburgh, Scotland and in Muscat, Oman. The firm already has owned offices in London and Liverpool in the UK, and Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the Gulf.
According to Nan Williams, chief executive, “The Scottish PR and public affairs market has developed since devolution…. And in Oman, we already have clients with whom we have been working such as the refining and petrochemicals company Orpic and tourism development company Omran.”
Four was appointed earlier this month by Glasgow 2014 to assist in developing its digital presence.
Four’s Edinburgh office will be run by associate director Alan Laing (pictured), who has more than a decade of experience in PR and public affairs, providing corporate communications advice and public affairs counsel. Before joining Four, Laing was head of government relations for Bloomberg News and a senior counsellor at Chelgate, and was also a Labour councillor for the borough of Hackney.
