Fox to Head Communications for Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group has named Mel Fox vice president of corporate communications for Warner Music International. Based in London, Fox will report to Patrick Vien, WMI’s chairman and CEO, and Will Tanous, WMG’s senior vice president of corporate communications.

NEW YORK—Warner Music Group has named Mel Fox vice president of corporate communications for Warner Music International. Based in London, Fox will report to Patrick Vien, WMI’s chairman and CEO, and Will Tanous, WMG’s senior vice president of corporate communications. She will oversee all aspects of communications for WMI and its affiliates and licensees operating in more than 50 countries around the world, including media relations and internal communications.

Most recently, Fox was vice president of communications at MTV Networks, U.K. and Ireland. At MTV Networks, she managed communication functions for the company’s nine U.K. channels, including corporate and internal communications, media relations and consumer public relations. In addition, Fox was a lead communications and strategy advisor for the launch of MTV in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Fox previously worked at Consolidated Communications, a London-based consumer public relations firm.
