RALEIGH—French/West/Vaughan, strategic communications firm Fetzer Stephens, and public affairs specialist Campaign Connections have formed a strategic alliance designed to help the three firms collaboratively pursue and service local, state and federal public relations, public affairs, grassroots advocacy and marketing services contract work, as well as certain private sector assignments.
The alliance brings together one of the region’s largest independent public relations firms, FWV, with two leading North Carolina consulting firms. Fetzer Stephens is led by former three-term Raleigh Mayor Tom Fetzer, a Republican whose clients include U.S. Senators Elizabeth Dole and Richard Burr, the Republican National Committee, and the NC Republican Senate Caucus. Campaign Connections is led by leading Democratic strategist Brad Crone and has provided strategic consulting services for Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue, Speaker of the House Jim Black, NC Representative Bill Culpepper.
Together the three firms will offer bi-partisan consulting services to companies, organizations, associations and government entities in need of integrated public relations, government relations, public policy, advocacy and marketing services work.
“The collaboration fills a strategic need for all three firms,” said FWV President & CEO Rick French. “From our perspective, we have aligned ourselves with the leading Republican and Democratic strategists in the state and we are now in a better position to offer existing clients access to the kind of counsel Tom and Brad can offer, as well as navigate the ever changing political landscape locally, statewide and at the federal level.”
Fetzer Stephens and Campaign Connections, meanwhile, expect to benefit from access to FWV’s PR and advertising talent and experience in working across multiple industry categories.
