Ghose Joins Aetna to Lead Public Affairs

Health benefits giant Aetna has named Mohit Ghose vice president of public affairs. In his new role, Ghose will help advance Aetna's public policy objectives and help position the company as a leading voice in the national and state healthcare reform debates.

HARTFORD, CT—Health benefits giant Aetna has named Mohit Ghose vice president of public affairs. In his new role, Ghose will help advance Aetna's public policy objectives and help position the company as a leading voice and thought leader in the emerging national and state healthcare reform debates. Ghose will be based in Aetna's Hartford, Conn., corporate headquarters and report to Robert Mead, senior vice president for strategic marketing and communications.

 

Ghose brings more than 10 years of Washington, D.C.-based industry experience in public affairs and national media relations. As the senior vice president of public affairs for American's Health Insurance Plans, he served as the industry's national spokesman, and conceived innovative, nationally recognized public affairs campaigns on a wide range of public policy issues.

 

Earlier, he held several positions of increasing importance in AHIP's strategic communications department.
