LONDON—GreenTarget Global Group, founded two years ago by veterans of the Chicago office of Weber Shandwick, has merged with GJRPR, the London-based consultancy founded earlier this year by Tim Jackaman, who had co-founded and led financial communications specialist Square Mile before its sale to BSMG Worldwide in 2000. GJR will trade under the GreenTarget brand.

Jackaman will serve as chairman of GreenTarget’s European operations and join the firm’s global executive management committee. Also joining GreenTarget co-founders Dan Reid, John Corey and Aaron Schoenherr on the executive management committee are Nick Glanvill, managing director in the U.K., and Melissa Rowling, managing director of public relations.

The deal will add a team of 12 corporate and financial communications professionals to Green Target, which already has offices in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

According to GreenTarget president Corey, “Our overall service offering is significantly enhanced through this merger. Many of our U.S.-based clients are asking for more and more help in London, and the addition of GJR now provides us with a world class organization to serve those needs, and the same is true for clients in Europe that need PR and marketing expertise throughout the U.S.”

GJR clients include: HBOS, RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Capital Markets, Omgeo and Rhyme Systems. The firm’s capabilities include corporate public relations, issues management, brand consultancy and design services.
