PRAGUE—Hill & Knowlton has expanded its presence in Central and Eastern Europe with the opening of a fully operational office in the Czech Republic. H&K has taken over the office previously operated by WPP sister company GCI/Grey Group. The new company will operate out of Prague under the name GCI / Hill & Knowlton.

Jindřich Lacko and Roman Pařík will co-manage the operation, which falls within H&K’s Mediterranean region headed by Cesare Valli.

“Hill & Knowlton is keen to reinforce its leadership within the region,” says Valli, “and this move will further improve its ability to respond in the most effective way to its global clients’ communications consultancy demands, as well satisfying the needs of local players with high growth potential. Companies and organizations based in the Czech Republic will benefit from a regional structure guaranteeing the expertise and quality of service that characterizes Hill & Knowlton, as well as immediate access to a worldwide network.”

The office will be led by Jindřich Lacko and Roman Pařík.
