NEW YORK—Zeno Group has appointed Burson-Marsteller and MWW Group veteran Ame Wadler as managing director health, strategic planning. Wadler will focus on helping to expand and deepen the firm’s current health practice, which includes such clients as AstraZeneca, Symbicort, the American Urological Association Foundation, Abraxis BioScience, Tena, Unity Medical Group and Group Pension Administrators.
Wadler brings more than 25 years of healthcare marketing experience including work in the areas of device, biotechnology, provider, payor, pharmaceutical and nutraceuticals. Her client experience runs the gamut from leading global PR launches for blockbuster therapies such as Lipitor, Enbrel, Botox Cosmetic and Lyrica to issues and crisis management related to product safety, litigation and patent protection to public health education programs in preventive health.
Most recently, Wadler served as executive vice president, chief management Officer at MWW Group and before that she was chief strategic officer for Burson-Marsteller and Chairman of its global healthcare practice. While at Burson, she led strategic planning, marketing communications and issues management for ethical and OTC pharmaceuticals, food and nutrition, biotechnology, hospital and lifestyle products.
From 1992 to 1998, Wadler was a member of the healthcare team at Edelman—parent of Zeno—in New York, during which time she was executive vice president.
