Hoechster to Lead Tech Practice at Magnet

Euro RSCG Magnet has named Steve Hoechster as senior vice president and national technology practiced leader. In addition, Carol Edwards, an agency vice president, was named deputy practice leader.

NEW YORK—Euro RSCG Magnet has named Steve Hoechster as senior vice president and national technology practiced leader. In addition, Carol Edwards, an agency vice president, was named deputy practice leader.

Hoechster, who had been a consultant to the agency, will report to Aaron Kwittken, chief executive officer and will become a member of the firm’s North American management committee. Prior to joining Euro RSCG Magnet, he was a founder and managing partner of ElsterGroup, a consultancy providing corporate and financial, marketing and channel communications services to technology companies. Before that he was executive vice president and general manager of Edelman’s technology practice in New York.

In his new role, he will direct the technology practice, provide senior counsel to clients as well as develop the professional skills of the group.

Edwards will continue to lead accounts as well as further develop the practice’s capabilities and client portfolio in the consumer technology sector. Before joining Euro RSCG Magnet, she managed technology accounts and PR programs for major consumer technology brands including Compaq and Sharp Electronics.

The practice’s current clients include BenQ, Convergys, IBM, JVC, Optimum Lightpath and Verity.
