CHICAGO—GolinHarris Chicago has appointed Laura Chalela Hoover as director, nutrition and wellness, a new position within the agency’s consumer marketing practice. Hoover will report to Gary Rudnick, Midwest managing director.
In this new role, Hoover will use her nutrition expertise and strong knowledge of food and nutrition trends to counsel several clients in the areas of food, nutrition, health and wellness. She will also support agency new business efforts, assist select corporate and healthcare accounts in the agency and strengthen GolinHarris’ food, nutrition and wellness capabilities.
Prior to GolinHarris, Hoover served as a senior vice president at Edelman, and as an independent nutrition consultant for Edelman, Zeno Group, GolinHarris and FoodMinds. Over the course of her career she has worked with clients such as the American Egg Board, Burger King Corp., Quaker Oats, and the National Dairy Council. She is a registered dietician with a master’s degree in public health, and experienced in regulatory affairs, crisis communications, product launches, media relations and health professional outreach.
CHICAGO—GolinHarris has added Lizabeth MacDonald and Adam Warrington as vice presidents supporting the agency’s corporate communications practice group. MacDonald will support GolinHarris engagements with The Dow Chemical Company and global packaging leader Tetra Pak and provide an important strategic addition to GolinHarris’ sustainability practice, geoImpact. Warrington will also join the Dow Chemical team and support the agency’s relationship with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
MacDonald previously served as marketing director of The Nature Conservancy, a consultancy dedicated to driving consumer awareness of conservation initiatives in the Great Lakes Region. Warrington returns to GolinHarris after three years as the primary U.S. spokesperson and external communications manager at ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company.
