NEW YORK—The Global Consulting Group financial and corporate communications unit of Lord Peter Chadlington’s Huntsworth Group has acquired The Anne McBride Company, a New York-based investor relations agency with an international focus.

This transaction brings together the Anne McBride Company’s New York office and its affiliates with GCG’s existing global network of nine wholly-owned offices and additional affiliates. The GCG IR practice now includes approximately 55 employees serving more than 160 clients.

Anne McBride joins GCG as vice chair of the global financial communications and investor relations practice and senior managing director, with responsibility and oversight for all investor relations activities undertaken in the U.S. on behalf of both domestic and international clients. The Anne McBride Company brings nearly 40 clients, with more than half located outside of the U.S., including Lukoil (Russia), Petrobras (Brazil), Satyam Computer Services (India), Metabolic Pharmaceuticals (Australia) and Collectors Universe (USA).

Says McBride, “Increasingly, clients need a truly international or global integrated communications service that includes financial, corporate and public affairs expertise. This merger doesn’t just allow us to enhance our investor relations service to clients. It brings our clients new capabilities in corporate communications and public affairs, as well as a much larger pool of extremely talented and like-minded investor relations professionals focused on client service.”
