BALTIMORE—Imre, a full-service marketing agency, has been named public relations agency of record for Black & Decker and its family of brands, including Black & Decker, DeWalt, Delta and Porter-Cable. Black & Decker is one of four new clients in the firm’s home and building practice.

“Imre is well recognized within the industry as a leader in home and building marketing,” says Terry Rakosky, vice president of brand marketing at Black & Decker. “And with a depth of team and strong category experience, we felt Imre was the right partner to help champion our brands at Black & Decker.”

The firm will also handle all of the public relations efforts for the U.S. brands of Ames True Temper, including Ames, True Temper, Hound Dog, UnionTools, Jackson, Razor-Back and Dynamic Design. The Pennyslvania-based company manufactures and sells nonpowered lawn and garden tools and related products.

For Nemetschek North America, Imre is providing marketing services to assist with the international launch of the Vectorworks 2010 product line of design software. And the American Institute of Architects is now partnering with IMRE on a traditional and word of mouth marketing campaign to promote the launch of a new contract documents and forms resource designed for AIA members, as well as non-member architects, contractors, designers and building owners.
