360 PR joins PROI; Verde launches event planning division; Imre opens in New York; NASDAQ acquires Thompson Reuters business.

NEW YORK—360 Public Relations, one of New England’s leading independent PR firms, has been selected as a partner in PROI Worldwide, one of the world’s leading networks of independent firms, and will represent its interests in Boston. The company’s addition is part of PROI Worldwide’s current expansion in a number of markets around the world.

DURANGO, CO—Verde PR & Consulting has launched a new events planning and management division: Verde Events. Integrating with existing divisions in brand communications, marketing, social media/digital and content solutions, the new unit will provide event planning, management and execution for a range of projects targeting media as well as consumers. Over the past year, Verde has planned experiential events on behalf of K2 Skis & Snowboards, Atlas and Tubbs Snowshoes, Ibex, Julbo, Wolverine and TransRockies Run.

NEW YORK—Full-service, Baltimore-based marketing agency Imre has opened a New York City office with seven employees. The office is Imre’s fourth, joining Baltimore, Raleigh, NC, and Los Angeles, and will serve as headquarters for 5Loom, IMRE’s social marketing arm.

NEW YORK—The NASDAQ OMX Group has completed its acquisition of Thomson Reuters’ investor relations, public relations and multimedia solutions businesses, which provide insight, analytics and communications solutions. These businesses will be integrated with NASDAQ OMX’s global technology solutions business, expanding its international footprint to roughly 10,000 clients in over 60 countries.
