Industry Veteran Geczi Joins Ashton Partners

Ashton Partners, a strategic advisory firm specializing in investor relations and corporate communications, has hired Michael Geczi as executive vice president and head of the firm’s corporate communications practice.

NEW YORK—Ashton Partners, a strategic advisory firm specializing in investor relations and corporate communications, has hired Michael Geczi as executive vice president and head of the firm’s corporate communications practice. The practice works with clients across the country on a range of issues, including strategic counsel, corporate reputation management, media relations and crisis communications. Geczi has provided counsel to domestic and international companies in a variety of situations, including capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions, hostile takeover defenses, bankruptcies and restructurings, litigation support, crisis communications, economic development and investor relations. Geczi joins Ashton in Chicago from the Torrenzano Group in New York where he was managing director. Earlier, Geczi was senior vice president and director at APCO Worldwide, Hong Kong-based president of Asia-Pacific financial communications for Edelman, a member of the firm at Sitrick & Company, and president of Gavin Anderson & Company. He has also worked in house at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets and Midlantic National Bank of New Jersey. In other news, Ashton promoted Mike Banas to associate and the hired Steve Brownell as director of corporate communications from Shift Communications.
