DENVER—JohnstonWells Public Relations has acquired Accent Public Relations, its second regional expansion in recent months following the acquisitions of Center Reach Communications last September.

Accent PR is owned by Gina Seamans, a former employee of JohnstonWells Public Relations, who rejoins the 35-year-old firm. Seamans founded Accent PR in 1998 as an independent consultant and grew it into a full-service firm, serving clients such as Bernina of America, Enstrom Candies, Laser Technology, SmartCare Family Medical Clinics and Sterling-Rice Group—all of which will now be served by JohnstonWells.

“Acquiring Accent Public Relations increases JohnstonWells’ consumer and healthcare expertise while adding more depth and talent to our senior professional team,” says JohnstonWells CEO Gwinavere Johnston. As a senior counselor at JohnstonWells, Seamans will continue to manage former Accent PR clients, as well as provide support for JohnstonWells’ client teams.
