Jon Banner To Lead Communications At PepsiCo

PepsiCo has promoted Jon Banner to executive vice president, communications.

PURCHASE, NY—PepsiCo has promoted Jon Banner to executive vice president, communications, taking over from Jim Wilkinson upon his recent departure for the senior communications role at Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.

In his new role, Banner will lead the company’s global communications organization and report to PepsiCo chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi. Banner had most recently served as PepsiCo’s senior vice president, global communications strategy and planning.

Prior to joining PepsiCo in 2012, Banner spent more than 20 years at ABC News, where he led the rebranding of the network’s news division; controlled all editorial, creative and financial aspects of the network's flagship broadcast; and managed a global team that included several hundred employees around the world.
