NEW YORK—Kaplow Communications, the New York-based consumer public relations boutique best known for its work with eBay, is opening a new office in Toronto, called Kaplow North. Margie Cader, an eight year veteran of the firm, will relocate to Toronto to become general manager of the office.

Cader was recently promoted to executive vice president and has worked with current Kaplow clients such as eBay, Skype, The Robert Mondavi Lifestyle brands, LeapFrog and Lawyers.com—as well as former clients iVillage and Netflix.

Meanwhile, David Herrick will be joining Kaplow as general manager of the New York office.  Herrick will play a leading role in managing the office, developing the staff, providing clients with high-level consultation and partnering with agency president Liz Kaplow and other senior managers to evolve and grow the business. Herrick’s experience includes positions with Ruder Finn and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Says Kaplow: “Many of our clients operate throughout North America and not solely in the U.S.  Expanding to Canada puts Kaplow in an exciting place to expand our role for clients. And, we look forward to fun facets of this new expansion—such as sending team members up to Toronto for ‘exchange visits.’”
