HARTFORD, CT—Aerospace giant United Technologies has named Nancy Lintner as vice president of communications. She will report to chairman and chief executive officer George David and succeed George Jamison, who resigned in March. She joins UTC’s corporate office from its Carrier business where she has served as vice president, communications since 2003.

“Nancy has long experience in communications and has made great contributions at Carrier,” says David. “We’re delighted to welcome her to the corporate office. Communications is an essential function for us, and I look forward to Nancy’s help in strengthening it.”

At Carrier, Lintner directed advertising, public relations, employee and executive communications, and provided leadership for the company’s marketing communications worldwide. Prior to Carrier, she spent 13 years at Fortune Brands as vice president, marketing and communications for its distilled spirits and wine business.
