Liu Returns to Ruder Finn as GM of Beijing Office

After three years on the corporate side, Leon Liu has returned to Ruder Finn as general manager for its Beijing office, which employs around 100 people and services corporate clients such as VW, Michelin and Boeing.

BEIJING—After three years on the corporate side, Leon Liu has returned to Ruder Finn as general manager for its Beijing office, which employs around 100 people and services corporate clients such as VW, Michelin and Boeing, and brands like Li Ning and Audi. Liu will report to Jean-Michel Dumont, chairman of Ruder Finn Asia.

 

Liu has more than 15 years experience in both PR communications and media. From 2001 to 2007, he worked for Ruder Finn as an account director in charge of the firm’s corporate practice covering such industries as manufacturing, energy, automobile, and finance.

 

In 2008, Liu joined Vestas China, a leading wind power solution provider, as senior PR manager and in 2009 was appointed as interim head of communications. At Vestas, Liu was in charge of the company’s China media communications strategy and program planning. He also served as its Chinese language spokesperson in the local market.

 

Prior to joining Vestas China, Liu worked with Accor Group, the European hospitality industry leader, as PR and communications director in its Greater China headquarters in Shanghai.
