NEW YORK, February 11—Cathy Lugbauer, who was named chief marketing officer and president of the enterprise group at Weber Shandwick Worldwide following its merger with BSMG Worldwide in October, is leaving the firm, although she will continue to provide the management team with counseling.

Lugbauer did not respond to an e-mail about her future plans, but friends say she plans to play more golf and to live full time in Florida, where she has a home.

Lugbauer began her public relations career as marketing communications manager at Dresser Industries before getting into the agency business with Creamer Dickson Basford in Rhode Island. She rose to executive vice president at CDB before joining what was then The Weber Group, where she eventually assumed the title of executive vice presidet and chief of strategic operations.

She has also played a leading role in the Council of Public Relations Firms, and is the immediate past chairman of the trade group.
