NEW YORK—CommCor, a marketing services company based in suburban Philadelphia, has acquired Bliss Gouverneur & Associates, a 25-person public relations firm based in New York City best known for its work in the professional services sector.

Bliss Gouverneur has had a strategic alliance with Dudnyk Healthcare Advertising, a CommCor business unit, for more than a year.

In addition to Dudnyk, CommCor also owns Ad-Tech, a medical device and diagnostic advertising agency; NDW, a marketing communications firm; and Virtu Interactive, a web marketing company. The holding company was founded in 1983 and has annual revenues of about $30 million.

Bliss Gouverneur, which will continue to operate autonomously under its own brand, was founded in 1975 and had fee revenues of $3.7 million in 2005. The firm will continue to serve professional and financial service firm clients including MetLife, BDO Seidman, KeyCorp, Chubb, the Tillinghast unit of Towers Perrin, Hunton & Williams and Yankelovich.

“Our twin objectives have always been quality client service and measured growth, and this expanded relationship offers us more opportunities to achieve both,” says Bliss Gouverneur principal Abby Gouverneur Carr.
