NEW YORK—Viacom has appointed Kelly McAndrew as vice president of corporate communications. McAndrew will report to Carl Folta, Viacom’s executive vice president of corporate communications and will serve as his deputy in managing the day-to-day activities of the company’s corporate communications function. In addition to internal communications and media relations, she will work closely with Folta in providing communications counsel to corporate senior management and divisional public relations teams.
McAndrew will also oversee financial communications, working with Viacom’s finance and investor relations departments and will be responsible for media relations related to legislative and regulatory issues.
McAndrew joins Viacom from The Pepsi Bottling Group, where she most recently served as senior director of public relations, responsible for leading all public and media relations activities for the company and serving as its primary spokesperson. Prior to joining PBG in 2000, she spent nearly a decade at Texaco.
