WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ketchum has expanded its Washington public affairs team with the addition of Dr. Johnette McCrery as a vice president of Ketchum Public Affairs. McCrery is a former broadcast reporter and professor at Louisiana State University at Shreveport and is the wife of Congressman Jim McCrery (R-La.)
“Johnette McCrery brings an invaluable combination of journalism, communications and political experience to Ketchum’s public affairs practice,” says Susan Molinari, president of Ketchum Public Affairs. “It is rare to find someone of her caliber who understands and indeed has lived the principles and practices of public affairs campaigns. We are both pleased and fortunate to have Johnette join our team.”
Molinari, a former member of Congress from New York who was named president of Ketchum Public Affairs in January 2004 also says that as a matter of policy Dr. McCrery will not lobby members of the House or Senate and will recuse herself from any issues that come before Congressman McCrery.
McCrery is the third new staff member to the Ketchum Washington public affairs team this year, joining Jennifer Colpitts, an account coordinator, who joined from another agency; and Zachary Tindall as account supervisor, formerly the director of advance in New Hampshire for the Lieberman for President campaign.
CHICAGO—Ketchum has named Andrea Lewis and Don Dobransky as vice presidents in its brand-marketing practice in Chicago.
Lewis, who is leading industry relations for International Truck & Engine, joins Ketchum from CKPR/Cramer-Krasselt, where she was a vice president and specialized in corporate and consumer brand-building public relations. Dobransky, who oversees the Wendy’s International account, joined Ketchum from Fombell Communications, where he was founder, president and general manager.
