NEW YORK—Financial Dynamics has added David Schemelia as senior vice president in the firm’s corporate communications practice, reporting to managing director, Michael Bayer. A media relations specialist, Schemelia joins Financial Dynamics from Dan Klores Communications and will be responsible for implementing integrated corporate communications programs.

Schemelia has held senior positions with Rubenstein Public Relations and Burson-Marsteller, where he handled event planning, branding and crisis management work for airlines, hospital and pharmaceutical accounts as well as public affairs and sports branding projects. Prior to his move to the public relations industry, Schemelia spent more than 13 years a photo editor and photographer for United Press International and the Associated Press.
