NEW YORK—Euro RSCG Middleberg has assumed management for the public relations operations of Chicago-based integrated marketing agency Euro RSCG Tatham Partners. Both firms are owned by French communications conglomerate Havas.

The Chicago office will continue to operate under the Euro RSCG Tatham PR brand name. Aaron Kwittken, in addition to his current duties as president of Euro RSCG Middleberg, will serve as president of the new practice, reporting jointly to Gary Epstein, CEO of Euro RSCG Tatham Partners, and Don Middleberg, CEO of Euro RSCG Middleberg.

Says Epstein, “Ever since the Middleberg organization joined the Euro RSCG family more than two years ago, I have been impressed with their breadth and quality of services. The Middleberg agency wanted a meaningful base in the Midwest to expand its reach and capabilities. Both agencies are intent on building a significant public relations practice in the Midwest through this partnership.”

Middleberg says the new Midwestern office, combined with the firm’s existing operations in New York and San Francisco, makes Euro RSCG Middleberg “a truly national PR firm,” Middleberg said. “With Midwest-based clients in consumer, health care and financial services markets, we will serve clients in a wide variety of practice areas.”

The partnership already has one major new business win: First Health Group recently selected the firm as PR counsel responsible for corporate and media relations.  Other clients include assignments for an Alberto-Culver men’s hair brand and Hilshire Farm.
