NEW DELHI: Publicis Groupe has acquired Indian PR agency 20:20 Media, and will house the firm within its MS&L Group PR and events network.

The deal makes MS&L Group India one of the country's biggest players, following its 2007 acquisition of local agency Hanmer. 20:20 Media and social media consulting firm 2020Social will operate independently from Hanmer MS&L, under a group board comprised of Asia president Glenn Osaki, Hanmer MS&L executives Sunil Gautam and Jaideep Shergill, and 20:20 leaders Sunil Agarwal and Chetan Mahajan.

20:20 was founded by Agarwal in 1989 and has grown into one of India's leading technology consultancies, employing more than 140 staff across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.

MS&L Group India will now boast a combined staff of more than 550 employees across 16 owned offices in India.
