LOS ANGELES—Huntsworth-owned Rose & Kindel, a California public affairs advocacy firm with offices in Los Angeles and Sacramento, has appointed veteran public affairs executive and journalist Fred Muir as the new CEO for its Los Angeles operations. In addition to managing Rose & Kindel, Muir will be establishing an L.A. office for Rose & Kindel’s parent company, Grayling.
Longtime Rose & Kindel senior advocate Carl London will assume become CEO of the firm’s Sacramento office, while Marcey Brightwell will serve as director of the Grayling public relations offering in Sacramento.
Muir comes to Rose & Kindel from Burson-Marsteller, where for the past five years he led a staff of 30 in offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and Sacramento. Earlier he founded the public affairs consultancy Fred Muir & Associates, and was a senior vice president for public affairs with Fleishman-Hillard.
Before entering the fields of public affairs and government relations, Muir was an award-winning journalist, with 30 years of experience as a writer and editor at the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal and other noted publications.
