RICHMOND—Carter Ryley Thomas Public Relations and Marketing Counsel has strengthened its senior management, naming Michael Mulvihill president and hiring Seth Farbman as senior vice president.
Mulvihill was promoted to president from chief operating officer and chief strategic officer. He joined the agency in May 1990, when CRT was the PR-arm of the national advertising firm, Earle Palmer Brown and is one of the original owners of CRT. In his new role, he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the agency and will serve as senior strategic counselor to clients across the firm. He will also handle oversight of CRT’s regional offices in Norfolk, Charlotte and Los Angeles.
Seth Farbman is responsible for oversight of the communications technology practice area. He will also serve as a strategic counselor in the agency’s consumer practice area. He most recently served
as a vice president and as the director of marketing, communications and brand management at TeleCorp PCS and AT&T Wireless, where he was responsible for launching the AT&T brand in new markets in the US and the Caribbean. Prior to that, he served as the director of marketing for PrimeCo Personal Communications, now Verizon Wireless.
