TRENTON, NJ—Leading US independent MWW has acquired Capital Public Affairs, one of the largest public affairs and government relations firms in New Jersey. As a result, CPA partner and president Steven Some has joined MWW as senior vice president and general manager of the firm's Trenton office.

The Trenton office will also absorb CPA's team of public affairs professionals, which includes specialists in government relations, coalition building, issues management and grassroots campaigns. Staff joining MWW's Trenton office will include members of CPA's leadership team including Stephen Reid and Tom Cosentino .

As SVP and general manager, Some will guide the growth and operations of MWW's Trenton office as well as provide counsel to many of the firm's clients. He brings more than three decades of public affairs and government relations experience at both the state and federal level. Prior to founding Capital Public Affairs in 1993, Some had served in several appointive positions in the administration of President Ronald Reagan within the Department of Labor and Department of the Interior.

He will also continue to serve as a political commentator and contributor to major media outlets including Fox News Channel and the Newark Star-Ledger.
