NEW BRUNSWICK— Kevin McLaughlin and Ilana Zalika, former executives with Springboard Public Relations, have launched Public i, a new firm that will offer an integrated approach to public relations and marketing. According to McLaughlin, Public i will partner with creative marketing agencies to provide clients with a single source for all their marketing and PR needs.
By building a virtual team of marketing and PR strategists for each account, McLaughlin says, Public i will offer clients “all the benefits of a multi-vendor collaboration, without the hassle of managing
different agencies or synchronizing messages between different materials.” The end result will be a cost-effective, cohesive marketing effort that is seamless from planning to execution.
Says McLaughlin, “There is a natural fit between the practices of public relations, marketing, and creative design, yet companies must typically support these needs in piecemeal, using multiple vendors to support multiple activities.”
“Any form of outreach—whether it is a press release for the media, a brochure for customers, or a website visited by their prospects—should reflect a single, consistent message about the company and the value it provides,” adds Zalika. “In emphasizing an integrated approach, we work closely with our clients to clearly define their corporate identity, and then extend that messaging across all fronts.”
McLaughlin spent five years as a partner at Springboard, and Zalika four.
