NEW YORK—Peepul PR, a New York based public relations firm with a focus on the fast-growing Indian marketplace, has opened an office in India. The firm’s clients include global Indian brands looking to tap into the mainstream U.S. audience as well as the Indian community in the U.S. and American companies marketing their products and services to India’s growing consumer base.
The new office in Mumbai will service U.S. based corporations looking to enter the Indian market and coordinating market feasibility studies and public relations efforts. The firm’s clients have included Jet Airways, Cobra Beer, Coca-Cola India, Hampshire Hotels & Resorts, Bodhi Art and Saffronart.
“As Indian brand go global, they look for a PR partner who will understand their offering while adapting it for the U.S. market,” says Sri Kaushal, managing director of Peepul PR. “Similarly, as U.S. companies look at India, they seek an extension of their team for PR representation.”
Kausjal spent five years at Fleishman-Hillard and its Herald Communications technology PR subsidiary in Paris, and eight years in-house in Paris and New York. Managing partner Gayatri Hingorani was previously part of the launch team for L’Officiel and Seventeen in Mumbai and then managing editor of Rave Magazine, a South-Asian glossy in the U.S.
