Guardian Technologies International, a provider of intelligent imaging informatics solutions for the homeland security and healthcare industries, has retained Dittus Communications and its parent company Financial Dynamics.

WASHINGTON, DC.¡XGuardian Technologies International, a provider of intelligent imaging informatics solutions for the homeland security and healthcare industries, has retained Dittus Communications and its parent company Financial Dynamics (FD) to develop an integrated business communications program. Dittus and FD will initiate a program for Guardian including public affairs, media relations and investor relations services. 

CHICAGO¡XGreenTarget Global Group has hired Brian Kiefer as associate vice president based in its Chicago office. The firm also added Lisa Nemon as associate. Kiefer, previously with Weber Shandiwck, will work closely with the firm¡¦s financial, corporate and professional services clients in developing and executing media relations programs. He was an account supervisor at Weber Shandwick in Chicago, working on media relations campaigns for Archer Daniels Midland and global law firms Dorsey & Whitney; Foley & Lardner; and Squire, Sanders & Dempsey.

DENVER¡XSchenkein has added New World Restaurant Group and Johnson & Wales University to its list of clients. New World Restaurant Group owns national brands including Einstein Bros. Bagels, Noah¡¦s Bagelsƒz and Manhattan Bagel. Schenkein is working alongside Pfeiffer High Investor Relations to provide public and investor relations support for New World Restaurant Group and its three principal brands. Johnson & Wales University is a private, nonprofit university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business, culinary arts, hospitality and education. Schenkein will handle media relations and community outreach for its Denver campus.

BIRMINGHAM, MI¡XClear!Blue has added several new clients, including ACCO Brands, a leader in office product brands, which selected Clear!Blue to handle strategic public relations for the company and its business units; Master Lock, which has tapped the firm to handle public relations for its automotive solutions and door hardware businesses; and Reed Exhibitions, which annually stages National Manufacturing Week in Chicago, and chose Clear!Blue to help reinvigorate the week-long industry event.

BOSTON, MA¡XGreenough Communications has hired Scott Bauman as vice president. Bauman will lead the development of innovative for Greenough¡¦s clients, manage key talent and help develop business for the agency. He was previously director of public relations and internal communications at Avid Technology.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ¡XMWW Group has added Young Audiences, a leading provider of arts-in-education services, to its client roster.  MWW will lead a national media relations campaign to raise the non-profit organization¡¦s visibility and generate awareness of the MetLife Dance for Life program. Additionally, MWW will spearhead an influencer relations campaign.

NEW YORK¡XG.S. Schwartz & Co. has added three new clients: the Intercollegiate Studies Institute,a non-profit, non-partisan, tax-exempt educational organization focused on advancing a better understanding  of civics among college students; Direct Impact, a direct marketing company that provides online and offline database-related programs for Fortune 500 companies; and Poker Creations, a promotion company that offers private-branded online poker applications.

MIAMI¡XRyder System, a transportation and supply chain management solutions company, has named Robert Brunn vice president of investor relations and public affairs. He will continue to serve as the primary channel of communication with the equity analyst community while assuming responsibility for community and external affairs and the Ryder System Charitable Foundation. He will report to executive vice president and chief financial officer Tracy Leinbach.

MIAMI¡XLanguage Line Services, a leading provider of over-the-phone language interpretation and document translation services, has named rbb Public Relations as its agency of record. rbb will provide strategic counsel, while coordinating media and public relations activities.

NEW YORK¡XZeno has named Ana Burke chief financial officer, based in Zeno¡¦s San Francisco office. She joins Zeno from MRM Worldwide, a division of McCann. Prior to MRM, Burke was with Landor Associates for over six years.

LOS ANGELES¡XThe Honig Company has signed Gilbert Gottfried as a client and will handle publicity for the comedian known for his trademark voice and politically incorrect humor. Last month, Honig signed comedian Gallagher to its client roster. Gilbert Gottfried Dirty Jokes was recently released on both DVD and CD and features 50 minutes of jokes culminating with what has become known as the dirtiest joke of all time, which also formed the basis for the recent hit movie ¡§The Aristocrats,¡¨ in which Gottfried featured prominently.
